The basics, in 4 questions
Blue side or red side: which one favours whom?
What blue side and red side actually give you in draft — the tempo and the first pick on one side, the reaction and the last word on the other — and what the advantage depends on.

The first pick: what it costs, what it brings
The first pick of the draft is a balance between three elements — priority pick, flex pick, versatility — and an OP pick cancels out everything else.

In a BO3 or a BO5, you always take your preferred side — except in two cases: fearless, where the pool shrinks game after game, and the intention to pickaway.

- 01Win conditions: how a comp wins the gameThe three win conditions of a League of Legends composition — siege, teamfight, splitpush — what each one demands, and what to check once the draft is over.6 min
- 02Front to back or flank: what are the real archetypes?Poke, dive and protect the carry are not archetypes of the same rank. The real axis is front to back versus flank — what each one demands, and how you choose.6 min
- 03Why synergy decides a compA draft is compared neither team against team nor champion against champion, but synergy against synergy — and always within a given fight context.5 min
- 04Peel, frontline, backline: how a comp survivesA fight happens if a champion is in range of another. Frontline, backline, range, mobility and peel are the five ways of acting on that distance.5 min
- 05How much CC do you need, and of what type?CC is wasted without damage behind it. Two types, a threshold beyond which you pay too much, and why counting it measures nothing.5 min
- 06AD and AP damage: what really matters? The balance between physical and magic damage is not the real criterion. What matters is having enough DPS to threaten objectives — and knowing when damage type weighs in.5 min
- 07Slow down or speed up: the tempo of a compWhen a composition needs time, when slowing down becomes a mistake, and what a draft gives you to control the pace of a game.5 min
- 08Evaluate a composition in 4 stepsHow to analyse a finished draft: identify your win conditions, check that you can apply them, prevent the ones opposite, and place it all on the game phases.5 min
